Review our terms, agreements, and policies that keep your e-commerce store safe and compliant.

Last Updated:2026-05-18

Wawp is fully dedicated to preventing unsolicited bulk messaging (Spam) and protecting the integrity of global WhatsApp communication channels. This policy outlines the strict ethical and compliance guidelines required of all users.

1. Defining WhatsApp Spam

Under WhatsApp commercial terms and advertising regulations, spam is defined as sending bulk, automated, or unsolicited commercial broadcasts to users who have not explicitly granted your business consent to message them.

2. Strict Opt-In Requirements

Every business utilizing Wawp must guarantee and maintain valid consumer consent:

  • Active Consent: The customer must have checked an opt-in box or provided clear consent during checkout or subscription to receive transactional or promotional messages.
  • No Harvested Lists: Purchasing, scraping, or exchanging list databases is strictly forbidden and constitutes a material breach of terms.

3. Easy Unsubscribe (Opt-Out Mechanics)

Respecting consumer choices is mandatory for all automated integrations:

  • All promotional broadcasts must include clear, actionable opt-out copy (e.g., “Reply STOP to unsubscribe”).
  • If a user requests opt-out, you must immediately remove them from your active routing database and cease further dispatch.

4. Best Practices to Protect Official Numbers

To safeguard your official WhatsApp profiles from user report blocks and classification flags:

  • Warm-up Period: Avoid sudden massive spikes in message volumes. Build transaction histories progressively.
  • Randomized Intervals: Utilize random delays between message dispatches to resemble natural communication flows.
  • Personalized Placeholders: Merge individual placeholders (e.g., customer name, purchase item) to ensure content variance.

5. Violations and Account Sanctions

Wawp reserves the right to audit transmission metrics and consumer report rates. In cases of spam threshold breaches, Wawp may temporarily restrict routing, suspend your dashboard, or permanently terminate the account with no refunds.
